Suthep leader of PDRC launches PDRC Foundation!!

The former Democrat deputy leader,Suthep Thaugsuban

who led the PDRC against the Yingluk government which

lead to the 2014 coup launches PDRC Foundation this day.

At a Bangkok press conference,Mr Suthep said that he

would not return to politics, but instead dedicate himself

to pursue the objective of his foundation.

He promised no more street protests and the objective

of the PDRC Foundation is to advocate for reform

before election.

Mr Suthep insisted the foundation was not a political

group, even though those involved come from the

political area.It also has no affiliation with the

Democrat Party.

As a chairman of PDRC Foundation ,Mr Suthep vowed

to do everything he could to protect the national interest

and cal Thai people who have the same objective to join

and work with his foundation.

Mr Suthep made an agreement with the National Council

for Peace and Order not to talk about politics and the

junta soldiers to monitor the proceeding.

However,he wanted to see the military government

accomplist it reform goals before elections are held,

no matter how long the process takes.

The foundation also serve as a clearinghouse for

constructive
proposals on national reform from all group.

In my viewpoint,I support the PDRC Foundation and it objective

to protect the national interest ,such as prevention and suppression

of corruption,distribution of power,reatructuring the

police force, reducing social disparity and bureaucratic

reforms.

At the time when I joined the PDRC protester I found

that many Thai people who have the same objective

to safe our country from the corruption government

came to join by their own interest.

And at this time I believe to do for the country there

will be many Thais who will join the foundation also.

Hope for a better reform Thailand.

Sincerely Yours.

Hope for TIP upgrade in 2016!!

The TIP report, issued in the US on Monday ,kept Thailand

at its present Tiers 3 ranking, while has come under increasing

fire from US lawmakers and international human right

advocated it upgraded Malaysia and Cuba from Tier 3,

the lowest level.

Malaysia ‘s upgrade from Tier 3 to Tier 2 comes at a time

when it is involved in negotiation to join the Trans-Pacific

Partnership,a key regional trade pact which the US hopes

it will join.

Meanwhile ,Cuba upgrade coincides with its decision to

normalize with the US.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan –o-cha refrained from

commenting on claims that the report was motivated

by political rather than trafficking concerns alone.

Gen Prayut says he is confident Thailand standing

on human trafficking in the US Trafficking in Persons

(TIP) report will improve next year,as international

accusations flew that the ranking were influenced by
politics and economic interests.

Meanwhile ,Gne Prayut advised the public not to worry

“Please be clam ,Do not worry. We doing well and we are

confident this can be solve” adding that Thailand remains
determined to tackle human trafficking.

The government is dealing with the problem on many fronts,

such as amending law, changing the conduct of officicals,

verifying victims’ nationalities and investigating employers
for potential violation.

Regulating the fishing industry will also help Thailand meet

international standards and conserve it marine resources

for sustainable management, adding that Thailand’s ongoing

efforts should lead to a better rating next year as the

campaign gains momentum, according to Gen Prayut.

Deputy Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said Tuesday

the US State Department will next hand the TIP report

to the US president, who will decided within 90 days

whether to impose sanctions on Tier 3 countries maned
in the reports.

Sanctions could include a US vote to deny loans from

the International Monetary Fund and other multilateral

banks,and barring non-humanitarian,non-trade related

foreign assistance,as well as certain education and
cultural exchange programmes.

Thailand probably would be spared from sanctions,

because despite having remained at Tier 3 over the

past year ,the country progress has not been affected by
the TIP rating ,he said.

Pornsil Patchrintanakul, vice chairman of the Thai Chamber

of Commerce, said the report is also unlikely to directly affect

trade,as it does not talk about punishments such as trade sanctions

In my viewpoint, nowadays in the world of globalization that

information and knowedge flow all over the world in a minute,

everyone can know the facts and can analyze what happen with

the TIP report. So eventhough Thailand still remain in the Tier 3

it does not mean that trafficking in Thailand is worst than
Malaysia that raise from Tier 3 to Tier 2 this year.

However as the report give Tier 3 to Thailand,it mean that we still

have weak point to improve and some economic effect would be

unavoidable. So it is the duty of the government with cooperation

of Thai people to improve and solve the human trafficking more
to least and end the problem.

Hope for a better human right and a better living in this
beautiful world.

Sincerely Yours.

Can small local retailer competitive with supermarket!!?

Supermarkets have many factors superior than local retail shop

Today they offer many service of the kind available at

traditional fresh market such as,they grind coconut and

extract coconut cream.Pre-pounded curry pastes are sold,

just like in the market, while electrical kitchen appliance are

available with instalment –type payment plans.
These are a few of conveniences typical of the modern
urban Thai lifestyle.

The supermarket stock much of what their customers

use daily-tinned food, fresh fruit and vegetables and

fresh meat and fish.

It is certainly true that the supermarkets have seduced

shopper in Bangkok and other big cities ,especially

among the middle and lower class consumer who

make up the major part of the population.

They like the convenience and the air conditioning
and are attracted by the brand-name product.

The supermarkets answer many of their need, especially

 those located in shopping mall.

There are food courts, with franchises operated by well known

restaurants.People in search of one-dish meal will find them at

economical prices. They may be areas devoted to francier

restaurants such as Japan,Korean,Chinese Western and

Thai menu. Supermarket seem completely win the hearts
of many Thais in the future.

People become like baby chicks in the hands of supermarket

operators who study and analyse customer habits and

preferences down to the last detail.

Meanwhile the small local retailer have an advantage in that

they answer the needs of simple, everyday kind of shopping

near the house.

The relationship between merchants and their customer

were generally friendly and informal. They would chat,

bargain and exchange news.Sometimes there would be a

special friendly discound or item given for free.

These kind of dealing were certainly more pleasant than

customer experience when they go to supermarket
because of cashier whose face and voice are like those

of talking a robot and the conversation is limited to

the amount to be paid and the change returned.

The weak point of the small local retailers are that

they invest by their own source of fund which is not

the large amount. If they are located in the community

which many people that go to buy them they can survive,

if not they die.

In my viewpoint ,the government should find the way to help

the small local retailer to be survived by

1.        Provide more source of fund to them with attractive rate.

2.        Reduce taxes rate.

3.        Encouraging them to form networks

4.        Encourage the manufactures give special discount to them.

5.Help them to arrage into more attractive displays in the style
of 7-eleven.

So that they can earn sufficient profit and can be competitive

with supermarket in their own style.

Hope the small local retailer can survive to service to the

community and Thai people can still have opportunity

to own their business.

Cabinet reshuffle might be on the cards!!

After avoided discussion of cabinet reshuffle ,on Friday

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha implied it might be

on the card ,while insisting no more military officers

would  be brought into his cabinet.

Politicians and academic warned of growing public

impatience about the government’s lack of action
on economy.

Mr Pridiyathorn Devakula is deputy prime minister

overseeing economic affairs.

There is speculation of a cabinet shake –up,particularly

in economic affair ,to restore public confidence in the

government.

Dr Somkid Jatusripitak an economic advisor to the National

Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) is expected to join

the cabinet to handle economic affairs.

Mr Somkid has worked closely with the NCPO ,but was

unable to join the military ruled cabinet because of the

political ban.Awell source said last night that Mr Somkid

would be appointed as deputy prime minister.

He was one of the 111 former executives of the defunct

Thai Rak Thai Party to be banned in 2007.

According to Bangkok poll conducted by the Research

Institute of Bangkok University released yesterday,

the majority of respondents (56.3%) agree that a

government of national unity should be set up to

carry on with reform and boost unity after the current

government steps down.

The poll questions 1,117 people nationwide.

In my viewpoint,I believe in potential of Mr Somkid

that he can lead to stimulate Thai economic to more

growth. However the effectiveness of the result depend

on how good of cooperation between Mr Somkid and

Mr Pridiyathorn.

Thai economic problem mainly cause from low price

of agricultural product and the world economic problem.

Low price of agricultural product is a long time problem

that can not solve effectively because it depend on several

factors such as drought ,farmer knowledge ,demand, supply

and world market price so the strategy to solve the problem

should be a good one that not only solve the short run but

solve the long run also.

For world economic problem it can not easily predict,

what we should do is to improve infrastructure and

tax rate to be competitive so that Thailand will be
 more attractive for foreign investors.

Hope for a better economic and a better living life

of Thai people

Best Wish

Should the Krabi coal –fired power plant project be developed!!

The argument of  developing the Krabi coal-fired power

plant is raised up.

On Monday, the activists submitted three demands to the

government ,which included halting approval of the plant’s

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and deep sea coal
port’s Environment and Health Impact Assessment (EHIA)
report.

Protesters also asked the government to stop the project’s

bidding process being conducted by the Electricty Generating

Authority of Thailand (Egat) ans set up a committee

comprising al l stakeholders to develop Krabi into 100%

renewable energy province.

The agreement was reached Thursday afternoon after

the protesters from Krabi, led by anti-coal activists from

the save Andaman from Coal Network, ramed up their

rally by moving closer to Government House.

The government has agreed to protester demand to set up

a joint committee to end the stalemate over the controversial

Krabi coal-fired power plant project.

According to permanent secretary of Energy Ministry,Mr Kurujit

Nakornthap ,the 59-billion-baht Krabi power plant and deep

seaport would harness steam energy, which is more efficient and

emits less carbon dioxide than the old model.

The development cost will exceed the initial of 10 billian baht,

because the method is cleaner ,as locals have requested.

In my viewpoint, the Krabi coal –fired plant project should be

developed or not depend on how important and the necessary

of it to solve the critical point of power supply in the South.

If it is important and there are no source of power supply

such as from solar energy ,wind energy or  bio energy to

substitute the natural gas supply,it is important and

necessary to develop.

And if it is to be developed the security and environmental

standard should set at the level that it will not make the

pollution to harm the people in the community.

The Environmental and Health Impact Assessment

(EHIA) report should carefully study so that it can

be accepted by every party involved.

The understanding of people in the community is

important because if they understand the important

of the project, the controversial will be least and

the project will be lightly to be more successful.

Hope the controversial can solve so that the critical power

supply in the South can be protect not to get into serious

problem that more harder to solve in the future.

Sincerely Yours.

Four offences may not apply to become MPs or senators!!

On Friday, constitution writer reviewed the qualification

for holders of political office, said the Constitution Drafting

Committee (CDC) spokeman ,Gen Lertrat Rattanavanich.

They decided that politicians who have been removed

from office for four offences may not apply to become

MPs or senators under Section 111(5) of the draft.

The four offenses are.

1.Being unusually rich

2.Acting in ways that indicate corruption running counter

to duties.

3.Acting in ways that may demean public office,or

4.Acting in ways that indicate corruption against

judicial positions.

So Thaksin Shinawattra and his sister Yingluk will

likely disappear from the political scene for good based

on the latest revision of the constitution draft.

Section 111 (8) also ban for life person who have received

The “red cards” during an election which having judged

by court or a legitimate order to have caused an election

to be unfair.

For minor offences ,the ban is five years. They include acting

unethically ,falsely declaring assets,or having been removed

from office for deliberating exercising power in violation of

the constitution or laws.

Most of the 220 politicians banned their parties were dissolved

in the aftermath of the 2006 coup so the so-called Houses

no 109 and 111 would be able to return.

The provision were need because Section 35 (4) of the interim

charter required that the constitution drafters design

mechanism that ban corrupt politicians for good.

The fugitive Ex-Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawattra

can not  come back to become MPs since he was ruled

guilty by the one-tired Supreme Court for politician

for being unusually rich and his assets were seized.

He was found guilty of deliberately his power

and duties illegitimately when he allowed his wife

to join a bid for state land plot on Ratchadaphisek

Road in Bangkok.

If the revised constitution draft is accepted Ms.Yingluk

can not become MPs too because she was impeached

retroactively by the military-appointed National

Legislative Assembly (NLA) for dereliction of duty

for her role in the rice –pledging scheme. She also face

criminal charges related to the case.

In my viewpoint,I support the point to prohibit the politicians

who rule guilty from the four offences above to become MPs

or senators because we need good politicians to go to the

parliament and do their duty for the country benefit not for

their benefit.

I think this reviewed to adjust the qualification of the

politicians is a good one and intend to improve the quanlity

of the politicians and it will make more clean in the political

climate.

It is the best news for many of Thai people who want to see

a better Thailand that Thaksin and Yingluk can not become

MPs and Prime Minister again so that Thailand will at least

end of the political conflict in the society.

I hope this is the first step and in the end we can go to

the true and sustainable democracy that we all need.

Hope for a better society in Thailand!!

Sincerely Yours.

CDC decided to stop parliamentary immunity in serious crimes!!

Under past constitutions ,Mps and senators could be

prosecuted during meeting sessions only for flagrant

felonies or when their assemblies allowed it.

However in practice, both assemblies protected their

members and never allowed them to be prosecuted.

The previous revision of the charter added only
corruption charges to the offences.

On Friday,Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC)

spokeman,Kamnoon Sidhisamarn said that chater

writers decided to add criminal offences with

imprisonment of 10 years or more to the charges

from which MPs and senators ccnnot seek

immunity during a meeting session.

In essence,MPs and senators will no longer have

immunity from criminal proceedings during

parliamentary sessions if they are charged with

corruption or any offence that carries a jail

 of 10 years or more.

The revised draft also allowed prosecution if the accused

member agrees to it,without having to seek permission

from his assembly.

The charter drafters rewrote a clause to ensure that an

assembly president cannot “order” the release of

one of its members.

An assembly may also allow a prosecution to proceed

without calling a vote if the accused member asks for

justice to be allowed to take course.

In my viewpoint,I support the point to add serious criminal

offences to parliamentary immunity because in my believe

it will make MPs and senators more careful about

what they will do.Although they have duty in the

parliament ,they have duty of good citizen too and

every citizen should be treated as the same

And I hope this point will lead to least and stop

discrimination in society and make the society more

unity and more beautiful to live.

Hope for good political improvement and beautiful

Thailand.
