Wat Phra Dhammakaya a long time conflict and
deterioration
in Buddhism is still a nightmare in Thai society.
I had written first issue about this in “Dhammakaya abbot Pra
Dhammachayo is he gravest transgression of
the rules!?”
Another issue is about the large amount of the donation
to Wat
Phra Dhammakaya by Mr Supachai Srisupa-aksorn,the former
chairman of Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative who
allegedly involved in 12-billion-baht embezzlement in
the
credit union.
The credit union filed a civil court case againt Mr
Supachai,
Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Pra Dhammachayo at Thanyaburi
Provincial Court.
On Monday,in an out-of-court settlement,Wat Phra
Dhammakaya
has agree to repay 684 million baht donated to the temple by
Mr Supachai back to the union. The payment will be made in
installment of 100 million baht each month ,with payment made
by post-dated
cashier’s cheques.
Before this ,the embezzlement has been accept for investigation
by Department of Special Investigation (DSI). Although
yesterday
after the negotiations,Thapanawat Serasom ,the credit
union”s
lawyer ,went to the DSI to withdraw the civil and
criminal lawsuits
againt Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Phra Dhammachayo but
Somboon Sarasit,chief of the DSI”s Criminal Case Division,
said
the embezzlement is a criminal case which can not be drop
despite an agreement between the conflicting parties.
Also, Gen Paiboon Koomchaya ,Justice Minister,has insisted
that
DSI must complete the embezzlement probe.
To heat that the DSI will continue to investigate and
probe this
case, it like the light at the end of tunnel to clear up
the
embezzlement.Still
I wonder that how far and clear the DSI
can do with this case.
Meanwhile,although Wat Phra Dhammakaya has agree to
replay the donation back to the credit union it can not
clear up the blemish in buddism since both of Wat Phra
Dhammakaya and Pra Dhammachayo had involved in
the case at the beginning ,they repay the donation only
for free from the guilty ,this is not the first time for
them
to involve in deception and I believe it is not the last
time.
Others blemish about Wat Phra Dhammakaya are about
their buddha’s teaching about nirvana is not the same as
tripitaka.
and they believe in miracle and teach people to believe
too which
is not the teaching of the Buddha.
With a lot of money ,property and resource ,Wat Phra
Dhammakaya still has influence in Buddism and Thai society.
How to
solve the deterioration of Buddhism
in Thailand
depends on Sangha community leader to clear up it.
And Thai Buddhist to
study more about correct dharmic principle
and practice in the
right way so that Buddhism can still return to
unity and magnificent
in Thailand again.
