Land allocation to the poor is also the policy of this
government lead by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha
to give the right
to cultivate and harvest on land for surviving.
And to solve the old problem that some poor people sell
the right on land they receive from allocation.
Since fifty years ago till now forest land is decreasing
from
171 million rai to 102 rai so another goal of the
government
is to protect
forest from trespassing.
On Thursday,the government has approved the distribution
of a total of 111,210 rai of land in 15 provinces to the
poor,
landless families to live on and fram.This land
allocation
should be complete in May.
About 90 per cent of land would come from national
forest
reserves and the rest from Sor Por Kor agricultural
land.
In Chaiang Mai,the land allocated are in national forest
reserves in
various river basins.
In Nakorn Phanom,the land is use by a verteran
agricultural
community inside the Dong Moo national forest reserve.
The land allocated is reducing from 15 rai to only 5 rai
due to
the current regulation may encourage land holder to
trepass
on more land for
other business purpose.
The government intended to provide land only to the poor
who can earn less than 30,000 baht a year.
Controversies about land allocation to the poor are about
opposing to operate in cooperative which the opposer
think that
1.Cooperative have no skill on land allocation.
2.Apprehension that the cooperative will use land on
commercial benefit.
3.Discrimination on land allocation by providing land
to partisan.
4.Doubt about the appropriation of the policy,is it
useful
or not in this situation.
In my viewpoint
1.Skill on land allocation can be learn from government
support,willing to learn and collaborate among member
of cooperative is important for success.
2.Clear vision,clear goal ethic and morality will lead
to least apprehension
3.Strickly rule ,standard procedure accompany with good
governance ,will be protect from the discrimination.
4.Goal of land allocation to the poor is to provide land
for them
to make living and survive,another goal is to protect
forest
from trespassing.I think if we realize benefit of these goals
which
provide much to the poor and our country,
we can accept it with
glad.
Collaborate ,support among the poor in the community
with
some help from the rich as much as they can accompany
with government support by providing fund,technical help
and providing market with reasonal price will lead this
policy to be valued and successful.
Allocation land to the poor is the first step to help
them,
to complete the goal ,the government must make them to
stand on their own in the long run.
With good governance ,Hope land allocation to the poor
is a good dream.
